Hello University Hills residents,

ICHA is working on renovation projects at almost every pool facility in the community. The following is a summary of work happening at each pool. Please note, some facilities will be closed during renovations. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Los Trancos Pool – The pool and spa are open and heated per usual.  Future renovations of this facility are tied to the future development of the Las Lomas apartment site and unknown at this time.

Gabrielino Pool – We will be replastering the jacuzzi.  The work is scheduled to begin on February 7th (in conjunction with the Coltrane Jacuzzi).  We will be keeping the pool area open during this replastering and will only close the facility for short periods as needed.  This pool is currently not heated and chilly, but available for use.
Estimated project duration: 5 weeks.

Urey Pool – We will be renovating and performing long term maintenance to many areas within the Urey Pool facility.  Some examples are a complete renovation of the bathrooms and shower, new lighting, painting of the building, trellis, wrought iron fencing and pilasters. This work is slated to start during the first week of February. The bathrooms and shower will be closed during renovation. We will be keeping the pool area open during the renovation and will only close the facility for short periods as needed. This pool is currently not heated and chilly, but available for use. The jacuzzi is heated and available for use. Estimated project duration: 4-5 weeks.

Coltrane Pool – We will be replastering the jacuzzi. The work is scheduled to begin on February 7th (in conjunction with the Gabrielino Jacuzzi). The pool area will remain open during this replastering project and will only close as needed for pool deck work (date unknown). This pool is currently heated and available for use.
Estimated project period duration = 5 weeks. Recent temperature fluctuations to the pool temperature are being resolved.  We are in the process of a complete heater replacement (x4).
