The HRB has four seats open for its upcoming election.  If you are interested in participating, please send a short candidate statement to aherndon@uci.edu.  The statement should include brief information about yourself and your reasons for volunteering on the HRB.  Statements should be received no later than 9:00am on Tuesday, January 31st, 2017.  Voting will take place in late February, and those elected will be seated at the Tuesday, March 7, 2016 HRB meeting.

Answers to a few FAQs:

(1)  HRB meets from 4pm to ~6pm, on the first Tuesday of each month, at the community center.  Some discussion is conducted by email between meetings.

(2)  HRB has seven members — six serve staggered 2 year terms.  The University has the option of choosing the 7th member, who serves a 1 year term.  The University has agreed to let this be the resident who places 4th in the election.  Consequently 4 of the 7 seats are open for election each year.

(3)  A description of what HRB does (and doesn't do) can be found at https://uhills.org/gov/hrb/whatishrb.

(4)  You may also wish to review the minutes of recent meetings (https://uhills.org/HRB-minutes), to get an idea of the issues HRB has addressed most recently.
