Entertainment Committee: An art show and music festival will be held to celebrate the summer solstice on Saturday, June 22 from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.  20 artists will exhibit their creations and four different musical groups will perform throughout the day.  Light refreshments will be served.

Uhills Website Committee: The committee is addressing making the site more user friendly.  The websites for the Turtle Ridge community and the City of Irvine were cited as websites that are easy to navigate.  The committee especially liked the “How Do I” function on the City of Irvine’s homepage.

A request from the New Swan Shakespeare Society to use the community center for a series of lectures was denied by the HRB.  The lectures did not meet the requirement of being a resident event.

Selected trees on Frost and Fuertes will be replaced beginning in June.  Two residents, two HRB members, and an ICHA representative walked the neighborhood and will agree on trees to be replaced and retained.

Recreation Survey: The HRB discussed the recreation survey results presented by Victor Van Zandt.  The HRB has sent the following paragraph to the ICHA Board of Trustees:

The HRB endorses the results of the recreation survey for Area 10.  The HRB recommends the following amenities for the 1.5 acre site in order of importance.  These amenities are: 1. a Junior Olympic swimming pool, 2. a barbeque and picnic area, 3. open lawn and a tot lot, and 4. Tennis court(s). The HRB requests that Andrew Herndon and Victor Van Zandt present this request to the ICHA Board of Trustees at their meeting on Tuesday, May 14, 2013.

Julia Wan will represent the HRB at this meeting.
