Gabrielino field is available for use by residents and their invited guests, with group activities subject to a 33% minimum resident participation threshold. When it has not been reserved, field use is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The field is open to single-use reservations from 8am to sundown, with a time limit of 3 hours.
Standing/repeating reservations are permitted between 8am and sunset on weekdays, and between 8am and noon on weekends. The maximum duration for standing reservations is 4 months.
At HRB discretion, residents requesting field reservations may be asked to provide detailed documentation establishing that minimum resident participation thresholds are met, and describing the nature of the activity for which the field will be used. Such information may be required before such use is approved, or may be requested periodically during the course of any active standing/repeating reservation. Use of the field in a manner that is deemed inappropriate by HRB may result in termination of existing reservations and/or disallowance of future field use. (Some examples of inappropriate use include: playing on the field when it is wet or muddy, playing on the field when it is marked as being closed, threatening behavior or language, use of profanity within earshot of the playground, or activities which pose an unreasonable hazard to users of surrounding park amenities.)
